Failed political movements. Toppled despots. Failed paintings. NFTs nobody bought. Relationships that didn’t survive the decade. Drinks I shouldn’t have had. Airplane windows. Hotel ceilings. Gallery openings I stood alone at. Photos still on my phone I’ve never shown anyone. 18th-century meditations on the fall of Rome. Texts sent at 2am that were never answered. Thousands of images, layered into a single object — the same tin container a man once carried to work and back, day after day, without asking what it meant.

You Have No Questions...
This piece asks anyway. The question starts with the use of the found object lunchbox representing masculinity of the past, and looks at the ever-changing role of work and men through time. The images are a collection of life, highly curated, to elicit emotion and start conversation. It is not THE answer. It is just another set of questions, that once reflected on, start another conversation. And then it repeats. Again. Each time, something new is asked. And something new is discovered

What is it?
The idea was to continue the conversation on modern masculinity and the changing roles in work and mens lives, especially mine, over the decades. It’s not a nostalgia piece. It’s not an indictment either. It’s a container for everything that didn’t fit anywhere else — proof that identity isn’t declared, it’s excavated, image by image, decade by decade, until one day you open the thing you inherited and find the whole shape of a life you didn’t realize you were building.

The Technology.
Built on Python and delivered in random order. Thousands. Hundreds. Even five images. This is not video. It is found images, placed in a folder and randomly selected by the code. It functions as a standalone device or can be configured to be updated via SSH over wifi or even fetch images from an online repository.
